MMCX Connector Warning

WARNING: Damage from improper removal and or failure to follow these instructions will void the 3DM-GQ7’s warranty.

The 3DM-GQ7 has two MMCX jack connectors that connect to the GNSS antennas via cables to the GNSS receivers. These connectors were selected to ensure a robust connection during operation, and maintain the small form-factor of the 3DM-GQ7 but must be treated with care or failure of the 3DM-GQ7 can result.

When removing the MMCX plug connectors from the 3DM-GQ7 it is critical to pull gently and straight out from the 3DM-GQ7, along only the +/- Y-axis of the Sensor Frame as shown below.

Microstrain ships a removal tool with 3DM-GQ7’s to prevent damage to the device. Additional tools can be requested through Sales at MicroStrainSupport@HBKworld.com.

WARNING: Do not use any unapproved device (e.g. a flat-head screwdriver) to pry the MMCX plug connectors free from the 3DM-GQ7 as it may break the MMCX jack off of the 3DM-GQ7’s PCB, causing irreparable damage to the 3DM-GQ7
